FAQs

  1. How can I, as a commander, help my boys?

Download all the information on this web site. Follow the lesson plans in the Leaders Guide for Year One for Discovery and Adventure Rangers. Ranger Kids and Expedition Rangers should focus on the merits and advancement requirements listed in the ROTY packet. Set up a time a couple of weeks prior to the Section ROTY and help the boys review the information and strengthen their skills.

  2. Who should I contact in my district to volunteer to help at the ROTY?

The best person to contact is your district commander. Typically, the programs coordinator will run the ROTY at the district level and the Section Commander will run the ROTY at the section level, but the district commander will be able to get you connected to the right person the fastest!

  3. How do I purchase the medallion with ribbon?

The Outpost medallion can be purchased directly from GPH. The higher levels are only available to district commanders.

  4. How can the parents of each boy help?

Give them a copy of the ROTY packet. They can help to reinforce their weekly learning at home and help them review the merit information throughout the year.
