Discovery Rangers is a fun and exciting program for boys in third-, fourth-, and fifth-grade. Not only does the boy get to discover great indoor and outdoor activities, he will get to make many new friends. Being a Discovery Ranger is another step toward growing into a man of God in four ways:

Physically: Their bodies will grow strong through proper exercise and diet.
Spiritually: Their spirits will grow strong through prayer, Bible study and witnessing.
Mentally: Their minds will grow strong by reading, studying, and memorizing Scripture passages.
Socially: Their relationships with people will grow strong by learning how to treat them.

Requirements to Become a Discovery Ranger
If the boy has promoted from Ranger Kids into Discovery Rangers, he should have completed the necessary recruit requirements as one of his last tasks as a Ranger Kid. • Recite the meaning of the four gold points of the Royal Ranger Emblem
  • Recite the meaning of the eight blue points of the Royal Ranger Emblem
  • Recite the Royal Ranger Motto
  • With the boy's parents or guardian, complete the exercises in the pamphlet Preventing Child and Substance Abuse: A Parent's Guide. (Included with the Discovery Rangers Handbook.)
