Organizational Leader Training
The purpose of Royal Rangers’ Organizational Leadership Training is to challenge individuals in positions of service above the local level to grow spiritually, to develop well-rounded ministry competencies, and to enhance their leadership aptitudes. All organizational leaders are encouraged to begin in this training process as soon as possible following their appointment. Organizational Leadership Training consists of the following components:
Prerequisite
You must have completed all four “Outpost Leader Advancement Levels” of the Rangers Ministry Academy:
- Ready
- Safety
- Trained
- Advanced
Educational Requirements
Offered by the Berean School of the Bible through Global University, this course of study prepares individuals for ministry to boys and their families through the mastery of basic Bible content, theological principles, general ministry skills, and specialized skills in the concentration of their choice - Christian education, youth ministries, or children’s ministries. This course of study also meets the educational requirements of the General Council Credentials Committee for the Certified and Licensed Minister Credential, allowing individuals to pursue ministerial credentials with their district offices should they so choose. (Additional requirements will apply.) Educational requirements may also be meet by completing a district school of ministry or equivalent program, as required by your district.
Leadership Development Seminar
The National Royal Rangers Ministries will periodically offer Leadership Development Seminars at various locations. Attendance at conferences or seminars offered by other ministries or organizations, or conferences offered by nationally known authors and speakers when offered or required by your employer may also qualify as approved by the National Royal Rangers Ministries. Only seminars attended after January 1, 2009 may be counted.
Service Requirements
Service requirements completed after January 1, 2009, include attending or serving on staff at national training events or teaching selected components of the leader training process may be counted.
Reading Assignments
Organizational leaders are asked to read books from selected lists, one book from the current Manhood list and another from the current Leadership list for each level of training. In the event any of these books are available in audio format, listening to them carefully is acceptable. Books read to satisfy educational requirements may not be counted here. Reading assignments completed after January 1, 2009 may be counted.
Personal Goals
These personal goals are not prescribed but are set by each individual. They must include, but are not limited to, physical, spiritual, family, ministry, and career goals. You are expected to set goals for each tier and to ask someone to hold you accountable. Seek input from trusted individuals, such as your pastor, as you set spiritual development goals. Write out the goals, establish your deadline, and then back-plan into incremental steps that will lead you to the desired outcomes.
